      Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our federal client in a remote role. The WTC Health Program in the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) requires services to provide support to the related pharmacy benefits as required by the Program administrator. This position requires expertise and experience in both the operational and administrative aspects of healthcare delivery within a health program, and collaboration with both clinicians and medical administrators. The WTC Health Program Pharmacy Benefits Unit (PBU) Chief will serve as the lead and the Pharmacy Technician/Account Specialist will provide support in the performance of these tasks. They are as follows:

      Operational troubleshooting and written and verbal communications in support of the day-to-day issues that arise from the pharmacy benefit plan. Escalates issues that require clinical judgment to pharmacists on the team.

      Document management activities that promote records management compliance and streamlined organization to work files.

      Respond to routine inquiries regarding program related activities to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

      Assist the PBU with the technical pulling, building, and maintenance of various reports and spreadsheets.

      Collaboration with other Program personnel including but not limited to contracting officer representatives, communication specialists, member services representatives, physicians, and nurses.

      Prepares a variety of both written and oral communications utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite for program management and communications to members and stakeholders.

      Develop and draft policies and procedures related to pharmacy benefits.

      Pharmacy claims data analysis.

      Assistance with or provides support to the PBU Chief in administrative, technical, and operational activities.

      Requirement s:

      The knowledge, skills, and abilities require a pharmacy background in retail/specialty pharmacy operations (CPhT and/or CPBS) with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in health plan benefits, retail/specialty care, or a pharmacy benefits manager. The position requires an active, unrestricted US license or certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, or Certified Pharmacy Benefits Specialist.
